Many of our customers have found that setting regular telephone or premise
meeting times encourages keeping the site fresh with new information that
would be helpful to your site visitors. It puts a goal on exactly when
to have the new group of changes ready and it helps with brainstorming
as well. Note your monthly planner when it is Web site maintenance time
or request that we make a follow-up to initiate a regular contact meeting.
As an ongoing feature, we will keep a list of things to discuss at these
regularly scheduled meetings, too.

In order to keep your site fresh with new and needed information, we
suggest that you create a folder where you can keep upcoming Web site
changes that are not urgent. Each time there's a change or potential change
in the business, you could add a note in this folder and then discuss
the changes that have accumulated in your folder at our next meeting (whether
premise or telephone).
Memory joggers for potential updates:
- What staff member changes have you made? Provide bio as needed.
- What product/service changes have you made?
- Customer comments (e.g. change survey comments, promotions, testimonial
text)
- Images - add or change
- Change any text on an existing Web page
- Add more detailed information (e.g. Insurance Companies you write
business for; information about those companies and the links to them).
- New validations on the forms. Have you found that form fields are
being filled out wrong consistency? We may want to add a further description,
a required field status, or a required way to populate it.
- Add to the drop down choices on a form field
- Add "Frequently Asked Questions" entries obtained from your
staff members or in sales meetings
- Add main content pages to allow the Web site to at least occasionally
perform functions that your staff now handles - reallocate their time
to other functions
- Have you received new awards for the business?
- What trade organizations have you joined? Become officers in?
- What community support have you initiated?
- Have you released any press releases since the last update?
- What personnel functions have you thought about handling via the Web
site?
